All plans include encrypted local records, manual backup and GDPR-supportive consent, audit, export and erasure tools. Optional external services require configuration and appropriate client consent. Designed for direct appointment management and your choice of separate booking, video and payment services. A client portal, self-booking, video calls, card processing and US insurance claim filing are not built in.

Who is ProvenTherapy best suited to?
Solo counsellors and therapists who want desktop practice management software, connected clinical tools and control over their local records. Configurable profiles also support other professions; the included assessment catalogue is primarily mental-health focused.
Can I use ProvenTherapy outside Ireland?
Yes. ProvenTherapy is built in Ireland and available to therapists in the UK and other countries on supported Windows and Mac computers. Plans are priced in euro, with applicable VAT shown at checkout. Check that its clinical tools and record-keeping workflow meet your practice requirements; US insurance claim filing is not built in.
Does the desktop app work offline?
Your core client records, appointments and therapy notes work offline. Built-in on-device dictation in Scribe Premium and Elite also works offline once its local speech model is installed. Downloads, licence checks, updates and optional connected services need an internet connection.
Can I use it without cloud AI?
Yes. AI is optional. Core records and on-device dictation can work offline. Local-only mode prevents external AI processing. Email, calendar sync and external assessment delivery use optional external services when configured.
What happens if I lose my computer?
Restore from an encrypted ProvenTherapy backup using its associated 24-word Recovery Phrase. You need both. Keep recoverable backups outside the computer; the phrase alone does not contain your client records.
Can I move records from another system?
Guided Import supports mapped client and appointment data, including session notes and source completion fields. Supported fields depend on your export. Support can help you plan supported imports and identify attachments, assessment histories or supplier formats that need separate handling. Discuss your export before committing to a switch.
What help is available?
Email mg@proventherapy.com for installation, licensing, feature and import questions. In-app Help covers daily workflows and recovery. Your clinical database stays under your control; support works from product questions and error descriptions. Keep client records and recovery phrases private.
How do I buy and activate?
Choose an annual plan and pay through Polar’s checkout. Billed annually—no monthly subscription bills. Your licence key arrives by email. Enter it in the app to activate. Read the checkout’s current subscription and renewal terms before purchasing.

The Windows installer is digitally signed. Windows SmartScreen may still display a reputation warning for a newer application. See installation support if you are unsure.
